Meeting called to order at 7:40 p.m.

Angie Rennard – Patches are in.  Let her know how many teams want.  May have a climbing wall at Habig.  WYSA would get a % of profits.  They have $2 million insurance and they run it.  It will be at Shamrock.  They have been at the Muncie & Anderson tournaments.  Everyone thought it was a good idea.  Chili’s will be a sponsor and have a tent set up at Habig.  Charlestons would like to have a food tent set up at Sharmrock.  Westfield Strikers (U14 Boys) would like to receive one scholarship for $157.37.  Angie made a motion to give the Westfield Strikers a $157.37 scholarship, Keith Hunt seconded, all were in favor.

Barry Pruitt would like to apply for U10 Boys Travel Team Coach.

Barry Brownhill, girls high school soccer coach, would like to help our club prepare kids for high school play.  He has been observing the girls coming in and look like every other year there is a big influx of girls.  Would like to have more consistency.  Bruce suggested a tactical meeting with the coaches.  Barry Pruitt suggested WYSA hand out information to the coaches so they know what to do at practices.  Get coaches thinking about what we are trying to accomplish.  Barry B. will put together a list of videos and books as resources.

Ron Strausser is interested in coaching a U9 girls team next fall.  Currently coaches indoor.  Will let U8’s know about tryouts.

Steve Brown – Need one more U16 girl for the team.

Travel coaches meeting is Sunday, April 7th at 9:00 p.m. at Bruce Carlstedt’s house.

Keith Hunt – Contacted by Outback Steakhouse interested in youth sponsorship.  Keith will go to a meeting on 3/21/02 to find out more and will report back at next meeting.

Shannon Stuart – Start thinking about what we want in the spring newsletter.  Husband will set up a website for volunteers for Snickers/Chevy Cup and Habig.  The volunteers can sign up but if they want to be removed they have to call Shannon.  We need to vote on changes to travel evaluations before tryouts.

Drew Williams – Official registrar for both in-house and travel teams.  Bruce passed on travel info last weekend.  We currently have 780 kids in the in-house league.

Kerri Brown – In-house shirts are ordered and will be in on April 8th all sorted and ready to hand out.

Bruce Carlstedt – Referee clinic will be March 15, 16 & 17 at the Public Safety Building.  Cost is $55.  This class is the biggest so far with 45 coming.  We will have to start assigning coaches for the boys travel teams now.  Sent out messages to everyone regarding tonight’s meeting.  Will send out an email for coaches meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
