Habig Classic Soccer Tournament

To request an application to be mailed to you as soon as it is available, click on Application Request in the left column, fill in the information and submit it.

The Westfield Youth Soccer Association would like to invite you to attend the Habig Classic Soccer Tournament. The "Habig" is a USSF sanctioned youth tournament for boys and girls teams ages U-10 through U-19. The tournament is especially designed for Level A to B rated club teams. We will not accept applications from all-star, premier, or tournament teams.

The tournament will be played in Westfield at the Habig Soccer Complex and the WYSA Shamrock Springs site which provide us with nearly fifty acres of playing fields. Westfield is conveniently located just north of Indianapolis. (See Map on the Home page).

Each participating team will play a minimum of three games (two on Saturday and one on Sunday morning. Championships will be played on Sunday afternoon. 

We will have 8 v 8 divisions for U-10 boys and U-10 girls. Field size and game length will be modified in keeping with USYSA rules for small sided play. Further information on this division will be available from the U-10 Commissioner.

A team award and individual, personalized awards will be presented to both the champion and runner-up team in each division except U-10. 

Click on the application for information on entry deadlines, fee, etc. Make checks payable to WYSA. After divisions are filled, entries will automatically be placed on a waiting list. Acceptance or non-acceptance letters will be mailed on or before the date on the application Applications that are not accepted will have their fees promptly returned. Although we are happy to have your faxed application, it will not be considered official until payment is received. Upon acceptance, we will contact you with information regarding rosters, accommodations, medical releases, etc.

Applications are considered from youth teams which are registered and play in a scheduled league competition. Players must be currently registered with a team by their state association and will be required to present their USYSA player pass at check-in. A team may have a maximum of 18 players including a maximum of three guest players with the exception of the small-sided teams which will have a maximum roster of 14. Guest players may not be added after check-in. No player shall play on more than one team during the tournament. Please be as accurate as possible in filling out team history as this will be used for seeding the divisions. Once the tournament has started the roster may not be changed. The tournament will make no exceptions for over-age players regardless of state or league rulings to the contrary.

All games will use the FIFA approved three-referee system. All referees will be licensed by FIFA. We encourage any licensed referees that may be attending the tournament and who would like to participate to contact the referee coordinator (Bruce Carlstedt at 896-9223 or .

Room blocks have been obtained at a variety of area hotels in various price ranges. Upon acceptance we will forward a hotel list to all out of town teams.
